Who I am

Isaiah Lord Edward Harden is a pianist, keyboardist, arranger, composer, and educator based in Southern California. "My mission is to learn, share my knowledge, work hard, and persevere to deliver the highest quality musical performances I can. I believe music exists to minimize adversity and provide relief from the problems that plague people's daily lives, and it is my goal to provide that relief."

Harden is a classically trained pianist, composer, arranger, keyboardist, and music educator based in Southern California. Harden started his classical training in 2010 with Terrie Newell and returned to his studies in 2016 with Michael Scott after a 3-year hiatus. After over half a decade of dedicating himself to classical music, he developed an interest in jazz in the summer of 2021 when he joined the Mt. San Jacinto Community College Jazz Bands. There, he studied with Corry Bell, and this decision would become the genesis of his exploration of many different genres, such as R&B, Pop, and Afro-Latin music.

Harden’s influences span many different ranges of music, from Beyonce, Prince, Anita Baker, Aaliyah, Sergio Mendes, Papo Lucca, Luther Vandross to Thelonious Monk, Hampton Hawes, Horace Silver, Jamael Dean, Emmet Cohen and Bud Powell. He has played across Southern California, such as in Pomona, Hemet, Loma Linda, Menifee, and Los Angeles. Harden aims to continue to expand his ability to bring a jazz flair to as many genres as possible, educate people in piano and music, and deliver the highest quality performances he possibly can. To that end, he is currently earning his Bachelor of Music degree at California State University, Los Angeles, with a focus on Jazz Studies under the mentorship of Uziel Colon Ramos.
